If you’re going to be a lawyer of the future, you have to innovate and push boundaries. Whether that’s challenging out-dated processes or applying the latest technology to a case, as an A&O Trainee, you can be the driving force behind that evolution. This is a lifestyle, not just a job. Investing time to develop these forward-thinking skills on top of your daily projects is what will give you an edge. To stay driven, I’d say it’s really important to take a break from law and use your down time to expand your mind. I visit galleries and museums with friends, try new food markets and attend spinning class at the gym. Using my spare time to do both independent and social activities helps me come into work every day open-minded and focused.
