King's Business - 1936-12

December, 1936 SQ3 B IOLA GRADUATES, ATTENTION ! Important Industrial Firms Offer Positions to Bible Institute Alumni $250.00-A -MONTH JOB OPEN IN CINCINNATI T H E K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S

The publication of “The Gospel in Industry” in the November issue of THE KING’S BUSINESS, with its detailed description of the success which has attended the efforts of R. G. Le Toumeau in put ting God FIRST in his business, has attracted widespread attention among American industrial ists. THE KING’S BUSINESS is receiving letters in almost every mail from prominent manufactur ing executives from widely scattered parts of the United States, asking for the names and addresses of former students of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles who might qualify as acceptable additions to their staffs. In most cases, no detailed requirements are given by the writers, but in other instances, the experience desired is specified. Says one writer: “ I am looking for some one between the ages of 25 and 32 [a young man is indicated] who

is industrious, has the right family and social background, though not necessarily a man of high social standing, and a fellow who has to work for a living—his work here would be that of assistant to both the sales manager and myself.” Another employer writes from Philadelphia, Pa.: “For a long time I have wished to know how I might find commercial and manufacturing companies of the Christian character of R. G. Le Tourneau, Inc.” In order to be able to place the qualifications of Biola graduates and former students before these employers, we are attaching a brief questionnaire which we ask any interested Biola alumnus to fill out and mail to THE KING’S BUSINESS. Please remember that all students who have been enrolled in the Institute’s Day or Evening Classes, or taken Biola Correspondence Courses, are eligible to submit questionnaires.

SPECIAL NOTE : The Christian employee is expected to be one who is outstanding for his honesty, faithfulness, consideration of others, and willingness to work hard— one who has the aptitude and training required by the employer and who performs all his work as unto the Lord. It is believed that employers inquiring for Biola students are especially interested in obtaining the services of single young men who not only qualify for the positions offered, but who, in addition, can serve acceptably as group organizers, song leaders, singers, or personal workers. Such individuals would be able to help greatly in the conducting of gospel meetings, following the Le Toumeau plan. Apart from this activity, the Christian employee has opportunity to give an effective witness for the Lord Jesus Christ simply through the life that he lives in the presence of fellow workmen. THE KING ’S BUSINESS will be glad to give every assistance possible in bringing employers and prospective employees into touch with each other, but cannot assume any other responsibility to either group. There is no expense involved. When a position has been accepted, the employee is requested to notify THE KING ’S BUSINESS of this fact.
