17:00 I take a quick look at today’s sales figures and ask one of the girls to call any of the branches who haven’t loaded their commission to the file before we finish for the day so that all of the figures will be up-to-date by morning. 17:30 Home time! We finish off our calls and then it’s time to head off after another busy day in Retail Support. I have my usual day off tomorrow (I don’t work Wednesdays) so before I go I make sure that the girls know what they are doing for tomorrow. another happy customer!
to do what we can to assist with getting the customer home. While we are on the phone the customers Dad gets in touch with the branch asking for help to book her some flights home; thankfully that gets sorted pretty quickly as in resort queries usually get quite complicated. 15:00 The girls have still got some holidays and lieu time to put in from all the overtime they have done over the last couple of months so we look at the planner for the rest of the month and see when we can fit it all in. I need to pop out for some fresh air as it has been so busy again today and I need some last few bits of Christmas shopping for my daughter Ivy and a Christmas jumper for our team night out next week so I quickly pop over to the Bridges Shopping Centre. As I haven’t had any dinner yet I grab a quick
sandwich in The Galley. It’s really quiet down there at half past three; it’s usually buzzing with people so it’s nice to catch five minutes of quiet time. 16:00 Back at my desk again and I have some queries from our internal audit team to answer. This takes a bit of time as you have to look at the files and speak to the branches to get the queries resolved. Gillian and Toni come out of a new branch set up meeting and they update me on the progress of the opening of the remaining shops. We still have a few shops that are waiting for computers and internet so it’s important that my team know what the progress is as we are the main contact for all of our branches. There isn’t a query we don’t get in Retail Support at the moment!
