ever to making sure myself and my team support our homeworking partners to succeed! I also took home a whole host of action points, many of which have already been completed. Bring on next year at the Hard Rock, Tenerife!”

Here’s what some of our homeworkers had to say…

Graham Willingham “Before going to conference this year I was excited to meet all my colleagues in person. We all ‘kind of’ knew each other from the support groups we have on social media, but to put faces to names in an informal setting was invaluable, and we ‘really’ got to know each other. You couldn’t fail to enjoy the stunning hotel, food and drinks, but the real benefit of conference was getting to talk to colleagues face-to-face in the bar, over lunch, and during the working day. We got the chance to talk about any problems as well as ideas for success. My favourite moment has to be the fancy dress ‘rock stars’ night! Yes, there were some amazing costumes and the party really wasn’t stopping that night! Also, the matchmaking sessions made a real difference to me as I now have some great contacts with suppliers. And the major difference post-conference is that I now have colleagues, and not just names in a chat group. I can call people, I can meet people at trade events, I can moan to people, I can celebrate successes with people. And not only colleagues, but friends. And these friends share their successes with you and don’t mind you pinching their

ideas. In fact, they are usually saying, ‘I have found a great offer, why don’t you use this yourself?’ Finally, I learnt the potential of using my own social media pages after listening to some of the success stories. So bring on conference 2020, I am ready for you.” Thea Cook “The conference was a real turning point for me with my fledgling business. Even though it was early days I was feeling like giving up and the conference gave me the motivation and the confidence to go for it. Meeting the suppliers in the matchmaking sessions was invaluable. I loved meeting John and Irene Hays and finding out how down-to-earth they are. I found the Facebook session really good and it gave me some good ideas to try. I

really enjoyed the hotel we stayed in and found the staff incredibly helpful. Thanks so much Hays for a wonderful and useful conference!” Rebecca Rutter “As it was my first conference, it was really important for me to meet all of the people I had spoken to for support and advice since October, and to put faces to the names. Every person I met, whether it was a fellow PTC, supplier, or someone from head office, were all so lovely and friendly. Everyone completely put me at ease. Since conference I feel part of the Hays family.” Jemma Tallet “I absolutely loved conference this year. It was a great way of meeting new
