Human beings influence and are influenced by the environment in which they live. I lived with these feelings in many Arab and African counties and those feelings were firmly rooted in my conscience — duringmy travels withmy father while hewas working as a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — toward people who have been preparing themselves for years in order to visit the holy lands. I did not imagine that one day I would see those feelings hidden in my conscience as a reality with lines and colors and with a personal vision and in the form of modern sculpture paintings. I would not have been able to complete these paintings without Allah’s help and without the intellectual and spiritual power that I gained through my travels through different countries with different climates, nature and culture. This also encouraged me to travel throughout my country in order to portray characteristics of each region with its climate and nature. They were not direct drawing but an expression of my inner feelings after gaining so much experience frommy travels around the world. I have received immense help from Allah in pursuing this work after gaining a lot of experience. As a result I was able to present these paintings of spirituality based on a vision that would not have come without persistence and without good intention that cannot be expressed in words. Thanks to God, when Makkah was selected as the cultural Islamic capital, I was able to draw a painting of Makkah with a new vision given by God the Almighty. It also helped present paintings of other holy places that have the same specialties and contain the same spiritual meanings. By the grace of God, I was able to present those feelings with this force and flow of expression. Once again I thank God for giving me this vision about the holy mosques.
