BIATHLON AND CROSS COUNTRY Bansko, with its biathlon and cross-country trails, is also the choice of Irina Nikulchina and Nina Kadeva, two Bulgarian women who are among the world’s top ten biathlon racers. SKI LIFTS WORKING HOURS AND SKI GUIDES The lift system operates 8:30am till 4:30pm each day. EXCURSIONS In addition to pub-crawling in the local taverns of Bansko, a number of excursions to nearby sites of interest, such as the Rila Monastery and exciting après-ski activities, can be booked with your local representatives in the resort for a truly memorable holiday. Children aged 2-11yrs get a reduction on selected excursions.
Bansko is a great place for first-time skiers and snowboarders, with the ULEN ski school having some of Bulgaria’s best instructors, and the ULEN rent-a-ski offering the latest in ski and snowboard equipment.
INTERMEDIATE
An array of blue and red runs suitable for intermediate skiers and snowboarders make Bansko a very good choice for both those committed to becoming experts, as well as for those who take up winter sports merely as a recreational activity.
