In the event of any complaint or dispute, we may need to share this data with other relevant parties, such as your hotel or airline to help us with our investigation. In the case of a serious dispute involving legal proceedings, we will need to share your data with our insurance company and legal advisors in order to comply with legal obligations and to assist with the handling of the matter. Complaints We fully respect your right to privacy and take our responsibility for the collection of your personal information very seriously. We make every effort to ensure that your personal information is kept secure and is only used for the purpose for which it is collected. We will also only retain your data for as long as it is necessary and in accordance with the basis upon which it was collected. In the case of a complaint or a claim, we may need to retain your data for up to 4 years in order to comply with any of our legal obligations. Security Policy We will implement all technical and organisational measures which are appropriate, practicable and/or reasonable to safeguard your information. Your Rights Under the UK GDPR you have the following rights (although these rights may not apply to all circumstances):

• The right to be informed about our processing of your personal data (which we aim to give full effect to through this Privacy Policy and other privacy notices on our website) • The right to have the personal data which we collect on you corrected if it is inaccurate, or completed where it is incomplete • As set out above, the right to withdrawyour consent or explicit consent (in the case of ‘special category’ personal data) to our use of your data on that basis • The right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances • The right to restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances • The right to have your personal data erased in certain circumstances (i.e. the so-called “right to be forgotten”) • The right to request access to your personal data and information about how we process it. The ICO can be contacted via their website at www.ico.org.uk • Additionally, travellers may at any time before the start of the package terminate

the contract in return for an appropriate and justifiable termination fee. • If, after the start of the package, significant elements of the package cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternative arrangements will have to be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee, where services are not performed in accordance with the contract and this substantially affects the performance of the package and the organiser fails to remedy the problem. • Travellers are also entitled to a price reduction or compensation for damages or both where the travel services are not performed or are improperly performed. • The organiser has to provide assistance if the traveller is in difficulty. • If the organiser becomes insolvent, payments will be refunded. If the organiser becomes insolvent after the start of the package and if transport is included in the package, repatriation of the travellers is secured. Balkan Holidays Limited has taken out insolvency protection with the Civil Aviation Authority (of Gatwick airport South, West Sussex, RH6 0YR, UK, telephone 0333 103 6350, email: claims@caa.co.uk) under ATOL number 0252) for flight inclusive packages and with ABTA Ltd (The Travel Association, 30 Park Street, London, SE1 9EQ www.abta.co.uk, ABTA Membership Number: V089X) for non-flight inclusive packages. Travellers may contact either of the above entities (the CAA if the package includes a flight and ABTA if it does not) if services are denied because of Balkan Holidays Limited’s insolvency.

TRAVEL INSURANCE This policy will have been sold to you on a non advised basis and it is there- fore your responsibility to read this information (paying particular attention to the terms and conditions and exclusions) and ensure that it meets all of your requirements. You may already possess alternative insurance(s) for some or all of the features and benefit provided by this product; it is your responsibility to investigate this. If upon reading this policy you find it does not meet all of your requirements, please refer to the relevant cooling off/ policy cancellation section. Balkan Holidays Limited are an appointed representative of ITC Compliance Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (their registration number is 313486) and which is permitted to advise on and arrange general insurance contracts. We will not provide you with the advice about the suitability of this product for your individual needs but we will be happy to provide you with factual information. ‘The policy we sell includes a 24 hour emergency service. It can also cover you for cancellation, loss of baggage, and travel delay. All customers travelling with us must have a valid insurance policy to cover the full period of the holiday. The insurance can either be purchased through us or another provider. You can cancel your insurance within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have not travelled or made a claim on this policy. If you have decided not to buy the insurance we can offer, please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you have purchased has the relevant cover and meets your needs. The following is a summary of cover only. You will receive the full policy wordings at the time of purchase, which define the cover, conditions and exclusions. Reasonable Care: You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property, as you would if you were not insured. Dangerous Sports & Pastimes: You may not be insured if you are going to take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a generally recognised risk of injury.
