where the ravens would feed him daily. It was a time when he was to be quiet, and he needed God’s power to be quiet. Look, the coil is holding the nail up. (When the wire contacts the battery, the nail will be drawn up into the coil and held there.) After a time, Elijah was told to go to Zarephath where a widow would feed him. When he arrived the widow was preparing for what she thought was her last meal. Elijah asked for some of her food, and promised that she and her son would be taken care of until the famine was over. She gave him the food and we are told, “ And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, ac cording to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah” (1 Kings 17:16). Now the nail, representing Elijah, lifts the other two nails, rep resenting the widow and her child. When God’s power is flowing through His children, He uses them to speak, to be silent and to serve, even as Elijah was used.

T EAVING Mwingi on a week’s safari, a consecrated missionary writes: “ W e drove until noon, stop' ping at a government camp to eat our lunch. Soon the men and girls working on a dam gathered, about a hundred of them, listening to the Kikamba records. Then the W ord was read and David, our evangelist, explained the way of Salvation. A t the close, in spite of some ridicule and laughter, eight young men said they wanted to believe in Christ. “At the next location, two men gave us a real welcome, then beat a piece of iron for a bell and the people started coming. W e took organ, gramo- phone and flannelboard into the little church, not more than 16'x25' of space. When the building was already full, children commenced coming in and we later learned the Government school nearby dismissed for the meeting. A l most every available inch of floor was occupied and we really had a wonderful

time. W e sang, played the Kakamba records and proclaimed Christ as the alone oifering for sin. When we gave the invitation, the leader of the group had to tell the many who stood to sit down, as we wanted them to stand one at a time to accept Christ as their Savior. W e counted thirty. The people asked when we would come again.” In another out-of-the-way heathen community, a remarkable little indig enous church developed largely through the witness o f one Christian man. This energetic and thriving little group has started its own “ bush” school for its children who have no other opportunity o f learning to read, write and figure. They have built a small temporary build ing of their own and have opened up a road ten miles long so that cars may reach the area. Now they seek connec tion with our mission. What an excel lent example they have set for others!

Lesson: This drill is so much like | a person that I have named it Will i Drill. We will make a magnet of Will today. When Will Drill is in this coil marked “GOD,” he is magnetized and I can lift one of these small nails. Not only is Will magnetized while on the inside of the coil, but he still can lift I the nail after he has been taken out of the coil. Will Drill reminds me of a great | king by the name of Hezekiah. Of him we read, “ He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him” | (2 Kings 18:5, 6). Hezekiah had ex- | perienced the power of God in his life, i and like Will Drill, he manifested that | power wherever he went. He was a I great king. In verses 3 and 4 of this j chapter we read, “ And he did that j A P R I L . 1 9 5 1
