Children are fascinated to read and learn about their local community. And, you can play games with the newspaper. Here is one to try: You and your child each cut out 10 words from the newspaper headlines and create a story using one clipped word per sentence. Trade stories and read aloud. Have fun! The stories will probably be pretty silly. Have a good laugh together!
