"W H A T IS YO U R L IFE ?" "Fo r what is your life? It Is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." James 4:14b, c. " A s for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flour- isheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone: and the place thereof shall know it no more." Psalm 103: 15, 16. "W h a t is your life?" A vapor swiftly vanishing away. Decreasing with the passing of each day. Then why be anxious over earthly store And hoard the things that soon shall be no more? "W h a t is your life?" 'T is like a blade of quickly with— 'ring grass Or fragile flow'r that soon shall fade and pass. Then let your heart's desires and treasures be Things that endure through all eter nity. When saints of God together bring Glad anthems to their Lord and King, W ith voices vibrant with the joy That the redeemed above employ, These saints on earth are practicing What they in heaven shall help to sing. Doxologies on earth below "Praise God from whom all blessings flow." Who in the flesh shall praise Him most But echoes yonder heavenly host. O saints of God, prepare, prepare For alleluias over there! Let swell the paeans of His praise While here we live our pilgrim days, For what we sing and what we are Combine to lift our praise far Above the bounds of time and place, To where the ransomed see His face— To, where the "N ew So n g" in acclaim Extol$ the Saviour's wondrous name: "Thou hast redeemed us by Thy blood, Worthy art Thou, 0 Lamb of God, Honor and glory to receive!"
