Each year, these programs impact the lives of hundreds of young people. By participating in the various competitions and programs, young people achieve greater self-confidence and learn how they can impact their communi- ties through volunteerism and service. The out- standing young woman and man selected will serve as youth ambassadors representing Youth Focus Inc. and the state of California. As youth ambassadors, they have the opportunity to meet and interact with many civic leaders and volunteers. The majority of their responsibilities will include sharing their dedi- cation to community service, mentoring young people and representing Youth Focus Inc. as spokespersons at community functions.
