Albert’s 5 ‘A’s Committed to developing leaders of character through Albert’s 5 ‘A’s: Academics, Arts, Athletics, Active Citizenship and Adventure, we believe in a well-rounded education.
Academics Albert College exceeds the standards set by the Ontario curriculum at every grade level. Students study with like-minded individuals who are encouraged to aim higher and succeed. Developing strong foundations and a love for learning is an important part of what we do at the Junior School. A mix of tradition, innovation, and student-directed learning provides the support and challenges our students need to achieve their goals. Arts The Arts Program helps students to become creative, confident individuals. Music, drama, dance and visual arts are valued as important areas of learning for all of our students in the Junior School. The love of music is introduced in Pre-Kindergarten and nurtured to include participation in choirs from Grades 1 to 6. Instrumental music is introduced in Grade 4 and expands to include various wind instruments and percussion as students move through the Junior School. School productions build confidence in students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6. Athletics Students enjoy physical education classes in the gymnasium at the Junior School as well as outdoor games and play. Beginning in Grade 4, students become involved in athletics, participating in cross-country, track and field, volleyball, basketball and soccer. Students also enjoy skating, skiing, swimming, winter fun week, play days and house league (intramural) games.
