VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR Gary Oedekerk and Steve Flood were recognized this year as ORPS Pickleball ’ s Volunteers of the Year. Not only have they put in endless committee hours, they have shown great leadership and have made significant contributions to “ skills and drills ” and “ court maintenance ” respectively.
ELECTION OF PICKLEBALL COMMITTEE POSITIONS
With both Gary Oedekerk and Karen Schaper stepping down from their respective positions of vice - president and court ambassador, it was necessary to fill their roles At the last meeting of March 6, Keith Bassham agreed to remain in the President position for one additional year; Kris Olsen will assume the vice - president role and Mark Hanson the court ambassador position. Thank you to Gary and Karen for your service!
THE LUCK OF THE IRISH TOURNAMENT MARCH 15, 2024
This tournament was once again a huge success and so much fun! There were 142 participants; drawing their partners randomly within their skill level. It was fabulous watching people playing together – often for the first time! The results of the tournament will be posted in the November, 2024 Oracle.
