Once you have completed the basic information, you will then be taken into the employees’ record, whereby you can enter additional information, including their email address, NI codes, Pay Periods, Tax Codes etc.
As you will see there is an option to add in their email and invite them to Xero Payroll. This is only recommended once the whole payroll setup is complete as they will be able to access their own payroll profiles. Please note there is an option to include a Job Title for the employee on this screen, which is optional, however this must be less than 34 characters or this could cause the pension integration to fail (only applicable to NEST and The Peoples Pension.)
