The weather cooperated too as the heatwave of the last week of May gave way to breezy, sunny days for the first weekend of June, just in time for the unofficial launch of the summer garage sale season.
It was a village-wide treasure hunt the first Saturday of June in Vankleek Hill. The annual Trash ‘n’ Treasures Day event was on and the streets all around the village core provided a horde of opportunities for garage salers, collectors, and people who just like to browse curio shops to seek out
