Why she chose PVCC: "PVCC has a great reputation in the area for being a top notch, although very difficult, school for the medical fields, primarily in Nursing. This is what influenced my decision to attend PVCC." What she likes best about PVCC: "The instructors are awesome and really want you to learn and succeed, the smaller class sizes (as opposed to a 4-year college) enable a great environment for learning and having accessibility with your instructor. I have also utilized many of the extra services at PVCC, such as veterans’ affairs, student success, career development and financial aid, which were always so helpful!" Future plans: "I hope to start working in the Emergency Department or Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit at UVA Health Center this winter (2020), and hopefully one day become the flight nurse for the emergency transport helicopter, Pegasus."
