Mont Blanc

M ont Blanc is one of those leathers that when placed in a room, can immediately shift the tone from contrived to alluringly authentic. With its rich, saturated color and arresting transparency, it offers an aesthetic that transcends trends and radiates depth and dimension. Its natural characteristics are a beacon of conversation, providing a refreshingly real, connective thread for visual harmony within a room. Because of its universal appeal, Mont Blanc is one of our best-selling leathers. Crafted in Italy in Bassano del Grappa, its signature, saturated color is achieved using the pristine water of the Dolomites. During tanning, soft waxes are added to the surface to encourage a rich burst of color when the leather is pulled taut. This characteristic is even more pronounced on tufted frames where highs and lows are accentuated to create a

dynamic flow of color across its surface. Over time, the hand will continue to soften as the surface develops a striking patina.

Mont Blanc’s extensive palette spans across the color spectrum. Bold and bright colors domino into dark, dramatic moody hues that move into soft and serene neutrals and inviting earth tones. Expect to see color variation within the hide and between hides in the same dye lot. Just like a brush on a canvas, natural leathers like Mont Blanc create a beautiful flow of color when upholstered correctly. To better help customers understand this natural fluctuation in color, we created a video to illustrate how two extremely different hides of the same color can come together to make one beautiful chair. – –
