During AICC/ TAPPI SuperCorrExpo, Doug Muller, President of Haire Group,was inducted into the AICC/ FastMarkets RISI Hall of Fame for his contributions to the industry.
Muller has supported the indepen- dent industry for more than 45 years. As the first salesperson of the Haire Group, Muller played a critical role in the company’s growth. Marvaco, a prepress provider and flexographic plate maker for brands and printers, will take Hamillroad Software’s Bellissima Digitally Modulated Screening to market in the Nordic countries. Marvaco employs 90 prepress professionals in Fin- land and Sweden. Marvaco will take Bellissima to market in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Baltic countries of Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia.

Great Little Box Wins Five Packaging Medals
Great Little Box Company Ltd./Ideon Packaging (GLBC) won three Gold Medals and two Bronze Med- als at the first-ever 2021 TAPPI/ AICC Box Manufactur- ing Olympics. TAPPI’s CorrPack Competition and the AICC’s Package Design Competition combined their competitions this year to create this first time event where judging was held at the SuperCorrExpo. GLBC’s design for Routine Natural’s Soap Box won first place in the category of Folding Carton – Women and Men’s Cosmetics. GLBC also won first place for structure and third place for print in the Counter, Shelf, Power Wing, PDQ Point of Purchase Display category with their Strait & Narrow 6-pack dispenser design. In the category of Printing – Counter, Shelf, Power Wing and PDQ Point of Purchase Displays GLBC also won first place for the Performatrin Ultra Limited Display. And finally in the category of Best Use of Corrugat- ed Replacing Other Substrates GLBC won third place for their innovative design for BC Fresh’s Potato Bas- ket & Tray.
