AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, an- nounced the recipients of the 2021-2022 J. Richard Troll Scholarship and the winners of the 2021 Annual Student Packaging Design Competition. All of the winners in the student design competition receive a monetary award and plaque.The troll schol- arship recipients receive a plaque and a monetary scholarship is sent to their respective schools for the next calendar year. Student Packaging Design Competition: • The First Place winners were Logan Vinson,Thom- as Breslin, Marcus Dodds, and James Linenbrink from Clemson University. • The Second Place winners were Glennith Tran, Ma- ria Tran, Odalys Carranza, and Karina Oviedo from the University of Texas at Arlington. • There was a tie for third place.Tucker Nelson,Tyler Kirkland,Wil Gates and Nick Miller from Clemson Uni- versity; and Brooke Oleta Selby, Afia Azeemuddin, Dai Vuong, and Tien Tran from the University of Texas at Arlington. MCC Awarded Silver Rating From EcoVadis
Multi-Color Corporation (MCC), a global label con- verter has been awarded the EcoVadis silver rating for its sustainability efforts. EcoVadis is a sustainability assessment tool, evaluat- ing companies on social, ethical, and environmental impacts. The used methodology is based on interna- tional sustainability standards (such as UNGC, ISO,GRI, etc.) and grades the efforts across four main pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sus- tainable procurement. In 2020, MCC determined a need to create a struc- tured sustainability roadmap and accelerate its efforts. It then committed to achieving a silver medal for Eco- Vadis by 2022. MCC has also set other goals for 2025 and is openly sharing a sustainability report and its ex- ternal accreditations.
