Giles Palmer is the founder and CEO of Brandwatch, a leading social intelligence company. He started Brandwatch after leaving BSkyB in late 2005. Since its launch in August 2007, Brandwatch has grown to become one of the world’s leading social media monitoring companies, serving business across the globe for FTSE 100 companies to SMEs. His goal for the company is to help organizations find and engage with online conversations that matter. Giles regularly speaks at social media conferences and serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for Sussex University as well as the Social Media Committee for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

At Brightpearl, we love retail and we’re on a mission to help omnichannel retailers be the best they can be. Chief Executive Officer, Derek O'Carroll

Derek has a successful track record of creating value in the technology sector both as an entrepreneur and working in the corporate sector returning growth to underperforming businesses. Derek joined Brightpearl in May 2016 from Symantec, where he held numerous leadership positions over the past 10 years across their Enterprise, Small Business and Consumer divisions. Most recently, he served as SVP of field sales and marketing for Norton, responsible for $1.7bn of revenue globally. From 2006 to 2012 Derek ran the security practice for Symantec in EMEA. He established a team of 120 security professionals and was responsible for the successful business integration of information security acquisitions, including KVS, Vontu, Altiris, Verisign, PGP and Bindview. Derek joined Symantec through the acquisition of IM Logic.

Miguel Arias, COO, proud dad, entrepreneur, and angel investor, has over 15 years of experience in building technology-based startups with a global reach. His expertise encompasses tasks and challenges, from the vision and strategy definition to product management, with special dedication to startup funding and investor relations. As COO at CARTO, he is currently leading the sales, financial, and operational efforts from its Madrid and NY offices, directing the company's growth and scaling-up. He loves to teach and share experiences as a startup mentor, advisor, and entrepreneurship professor at the IE Business School. Trying to enhance the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem, he co-founded and presides over Chamberi Valley, the main Madrid-based networking initiative for startups with over 1 million € revenue or 1 million € in investment.
