Origami Energy provides a cloud-based optimization platform for Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), ena- bled by our own hardware “Energy Routers”. We connect flexibility providers (generation, demand and storage sites) with flexibility users (National Grid, DNOs, electricity traders, renewable IPPs and suppliers) to create a marketplace for the grid-edge. By helping to balance supply and demand using existing resources, our technolo- gy helps network operators integrate more renewable generation cost effectively and at the same time enhance financial returns for greener technologies. The Origami Energy Routers monitor and control the DERs, recording data at 0.1s intervals and sending it to the Origami platform.

Ben founded his first company, Authentika France in '99, a food distribution business which he sold to SDV Group in 2001. He moved to logistics and transportation software and held management positions in sales and marketing, before joining an ERP software company quoted on the Canadian stock exchange. Ben founded Packlink in 2012 to create the world's first global shipping API, providing private users with easy and convenient ac- cess to courier services, as well as give eCommerce businesses the type of shipping technology normally reserved for larger corporations.
