The Lasting Legacy of BONNY BLUES Continues...

LR Bonnys Super Star and Bonny’s Six Shooter

LR Bonnys Super Star Affectionately known as “Badger,” represents exactly what Lauing Ranch has been working towards improving and raising for decades. A homozygous roan son of Bonny Blues, out of LR Hancocks Blue Pat, a beautiful blue roan daughter of Hancocks Two Boys. LR HANCOCKS BLUE PAT has produced multiple stallion prospects. His maternal great-grand sire, Billy Star Pat, has been a cornerstone of the Lauing program for generations. Badger was started here at Lauing Ranch and continues to be a trusted rider with an easy attitude. Many visitors at the ranch have enjoyed the opportunity to ride out in the pasture on LR BONNYS SUPER STAR. Becky Amio has exhibited Badger in Ranch Versatility events, as well as using him here on the ranch. AQHA 6 Panel N/N.

Bonnys Six Shooter Bonnys Six Shooter is a successful experiment in outcrossing genetic lines. In 2019, we crossed Bonny Blues by Roan Ambrose on Elvia Six, a daughter of Streakin Six. The 2020 red roan gelding combines all the speed and athletic ability of the race breeding with the substantial bone and foot which Bonny Blues passes on to all of his get. Because of the improvement in hoof quality, Shooter can run barefoot. Shooter is already a barrel racing money earner with Becky Amio in the 1D at local events and is on his way to making a Rodeo Barrel Horse. We look forward to watching him throughout his career.

One of AQHA’s respected breeder programs.

LR Hancocks Blue Pat

BL Hancock Pat

LR Bonnys Super Star, affectionately known as “Badger,” represents exactly what Lauing Ranch has been working towards improving and raising for decades. Badger was started here at

Lauing Ranch and continues to be a trusted rider with an easy attitude. Many visitors at the ranch have enjoyed the opportunity to ride out in the pasture on LR BONNYS SUPER STAR. Becky Amio has exhibited Badger in Ranch Versatility events, as well as using him here on the ranch. AQHA 6 Panel N/N.

Moonshine Creek Quarter Horses 439 Cothren Lane • Atkins, AR 72823

Wes Duvall (479) 970-7546 Brandi Duvall (479) 970-4761

I remember as a little boy sitting on a white mule walking through the pasture with my father talking to Charles Bewley, owner of Rafter 4B Quarter Horses, about what makes a good horse. Charles would whistle and a band of roan mares and babies would come over the hill sounding like rolling thunder. Charles would say, “There is a good hammer or two in that bunch.” The time spent with these two gentlemen that have since passed, really got me interested in Blue Valentine and Joe Hancock horses. My wife, Brandi, also shares a love and passion for horses and our daughter’s favorite place is on horseback. As a family, we built Moonshine Creek Quarter Horses, a small farm nestled in the River Valley of Arkansas. We have developed a breeding program that emphasizes Blue Valentine through a variety of his offspring. Moonshine Creek strives to produce top quality horses that will excel on the ranch, in the arena, or just out for a pleasure ride. Emphasis on conformation, ample bone structure, athletic ability, and most of all, unbelievable dispositions in our foals, is our top priority. Our goal is to raise the type of foal that a person will love to be around and enjoy working with both inside and outside of the arena. Our mares carry a variety of pedigrees which include Blue Valentine, Fox Coup, Rip Rip, Leo Hancock Hayes, Plenty Try, Gooseberry, Red Roan Raider, Two Eyed Jack, King, Blondys Dude, and Driftwood. As it was with Charles Bewley and my father back when I was a boy, we believe in honesty and let our horse do their own talking when we have visitors on the farm. If you are ever passing through Arkansas, feel free to stop and visit us, our gate is always open. Find us on Facebook at Moonshine Creek Quarter Horses.

Daniel Gardner 205.603.1918 sunrisefarmquarterhorses.com

Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, Sunrise Farm will be unable to participate in the sale this year. We raise high-percentage Blue Valentine, Joe Hancock and Driftwood bred horses. These quality bloodlines produce natural athletes who perform. We take great pride in the heritage of our horses and believe every foal could be the next World Champion. Working horses are athletes in their own right. Our horses are bred to work hard in the roping pen or in the show arena. We believe their work ethic is as important as their pedigree. Sunrise Farm horses are raised to be performing partners. Our goal is to produce horses that are easy to handle and that are willing... willing to try, willing to work, willing to do what is asked of them. We would like to sincerely thank Sam Shoultz for his patient guidance in directing our breeding program to excel. Without his knowledge and KeSa horses, we would not have the quality horses we enjoy today.
