LR Bonnys Super Star Affectionately known as “Badger,” represents exactly what Lauing Ranch has been working towards improving and raising for decades. A homozygous roan son of Bonny Blues, out of LR Hancocks Blue Pat, a beautiful blue roan daughter of Hancocks Two Boys. LR HANCOCKS BLUE PAT has produced multiple stallion prospects. His maternal great-grand sire, Billy Star Pat, has been a cornerstone of the Lauing program for generations. Badger was started here at Lauing Ranch and continues to be a trusted rider with an easy attitude. Many visitors at the ranch have enjoyed the opportunity to ride out in the pasture on LR BONNYS SUPER STAR. Bonnys Six Shooter Bonnys Six Shooter is a successful experiment in outcrossing genetic lines. In 2019, we crossed Bonny Blues by Roan Ambrose on Elvia Six, a daughter of Streakin Six. The 2020 red roan gelding combines all the speed and athletic ability of the race breeding with the substantial bone and foot which Bonny Blues passes on to all of his get. Because of the improvement in hoof quality, Shooter can run barefoot. Shooter is already a barrel racing money earner with Becky Amio in the 1D at local events and is on his way to making a Rodeo Barrel Horse. We look forward to watching him throughout his career.
