Getting to Know the Priority Physical Therapy Staff KIMBUNTEN, PT, DPT

Kim graduated from Saint Louis University in 1985 with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012. Her clinical experiences focus primarily on outpatient orthopedics and women’s health. She is skilled in treatment of all regions of the body and is a Graston Technique provider. Kim’s passionate commitment to quality patient care initiated following her grandmother’s recovery after her stroke. At this time, physical therapy was a rare field within medical practice. Her grandmother received physical therapy once a month. After witnessing the compassion of the physical therapist and the need for physical therapy, Kim’s heart lead her to pursue this passion. This eventually led to the creation of Priority Physical Therapy in 1998. Kim’s tenacity and attachment to her community gave rise to the current 5,500 square foot facility in the heart of Palmyra. Kim holds herself and her carefully selected staff to the highest standard of excellence that can be achieved. The result is her continued reinvestment in our communities. Kim and her husband have three grown children and two granddaughters.

1. Keep Good Posture When you are standing, imagine a string through the top of your head lifting you straight up. This puts your neck, shoulders, spine and hips in natural alignment. While sitting, make sure you sit back in the chair with your feet on the floor and your lower back supported. Your shoulders should not slouch when sitting. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable, as we strive to make a difference in our local community through the action and leadership of our trained league members.

The Junior League of Florence makes a difference in the community through our annual fundraisers like: Merry Marketplace, Lucky Shamrock Festival, and Touch-A-Truck. Our fundraisers enable us to give back to our community through JLF grants and scholarship awards. On November 9th-12th, 45 vendors gathered at the SiMT building in Florence, SC. The Junior League of Florence hosted a shopping extravaganza to raise money to utilize in their annual projects within the Florence community for women and children. Our very own, Lauren Bunten PT, DPT, served as the Merchant Co-Chair for the 2017 event. We are proud to say that we raised over $30,000 at the 19th Annual Merry Marketplace event!
