Visa Sponsorship
For those who do not have a right to work in the UK, the University is a UKVI licensed sponsor and is able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to successful candidates who are offered skilled roles and meet the eligibility criteria. • Demonstrable experience of advising on chemical safety in a large complex organisation • Experience of diagnosing training needs and developing/delivering suitable training pro- grammes, especially hazardous substances / COSHH training • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and regulations, codes of practice, etc. governing work with radioactive materials, substances hazardous to health, machinery, optical radiation instru- ments and relevant emerging technologies.
Global Talent Visa Route
Desirable: • Experience of managing non-ionising radiation • Knowledge of environmental legislation relating to radioactive substances

SKILLS/ABILITIES Essential: • Conduct suitable and sufficient general risk assessments & have practical knowledge of hazard- ous substances risk assessments • Communicate information effectively to senior management • Analyse and solve problems connected with H&S management and investigate incidents • Work independently, organising own work schedule as well as that of the S&E Health and Safe- ty Adviser • Well-developed IT skills for most commonly used packages
