HSD provide a comprehensive advisory health, safety and fire safety service to all Queen Mary Univer- sity of London (QMUL) staff and students. We teach and research across a wide range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, law, medicine and dentistry, and science and engineering.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering

Queen Mary has a distinguished tradition in science and engineering, and was one of the first UK universities to establish engineering, computer science, chemistry, and materials departments. The Faculty today provides research and teaching excellence across engineering, science and mathe- matics in five academic Schools (Biological and Behavioural Sciences, Physical and Chemical Scienc- es, Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Engineering and Materials Science, and Mathemat- ical Sciences), with diverse teaching programmes that include: Psychology, Mathematics with Finance and Accounting, Materials and Design, and Digital Audio and Music Systems Engineering.
