SECONDARY INTERSCHOOL VOLLEYBALL

This Term our grade 5/6’ s competed in weekly Friday morning sports. The sports were Cricket, Basketball and Soccer. All students participated showing our school values, with teams getting a few wins throughout the season. Our boys Basketball did an outstanding job, finishing second overall, only losing one match for the Term! Awesome work Lakes! Next Term students will compete on Friday mornings in either Netball, Handball or Football. With a few Gala whole day events in there as well. These include Tee - ball day, Cross Country day, Hoop Time, girls AFL and boys Netball day. Always a fun day out for our students.

SENIOR BOYS AND GIRLS INTERSCHOOL VOLLEYBALL We are incredibly proud of our senior students' outstanding performance at the recent interschool Volleyball tournament! They represented our school with exceptional spirit, embodying the values we hold dear, on what was truly a magnificent day. Our girls' team displayed remarkable passion and teamwork. They secured two impressive wins and, despite a couple of narrow losses, played with infectious enthusiasm. More importantly, they discovered a valuable lesson: their best performances came when they focused on enjoying the game, rather than solely on winning. This is a powerful reminder that the joy of the journey is just as important as the destination. The boys' team showcased extraordinary resilience and skill. Facing significant challenges with only six players, including three who were injured, they achieved a thrilling victory in their first match, demonstrating some of the finest Volleyball of the day. They came agonisingly close to reaching the finals, missing out by a narrow margin in their final game. These students demonstrated not only athletic ability but also incredible determination, sportsmanship, and the ability to learn and adapt. We are immensely proud of their achievements and the valuable life lessons they have gained.
