Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards) signature vintage lobster print short-sleeve shirt (bottom right) worn throughout the run of series Seinfeld . Despite it becoming the character’s defining look and its familiarity among fans, there was but one such shirt utilized during production, as no back ups of this 1950s shirt could be found. A contemporary reproduction would not pass muster with actor Michael Richards, who preferred vintage clothing as his kinetic character fed o ff of their energy. This shirt was rented throughout the production from Palace Costumes, a rental house specializing in vintage clothing for production. Acquired at series wrap from Palace Costumes.
