Johnny Carson “home base” set from The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (bottom center) is comprised of his interview desk & swivel chair, the #1 guest chair & riser, a marble co ff ee table w. tulip base, the guest sofa on riser, hand-painted backdrop of “beautiful downtown Burbank” (in 8 vertical sections), an art deco overhead proscenium that still illuminates, woodgrain tall stage right column with implanted bulbs, powder blue stage door with deco trim used by Mr. Carson when returning from costume changes, light blue columns with clear acrylic rings (3), silk palm trees in wicker baskets (3), a low blue brick ledge (in 2 sections), and more. Below, the original home base set re-assembled on a Warner Bros. soundstage following our conservation (along bottom), being featured in a Steve Carell film. Look closely, and you will notice it is not Mr. Carson seated behind the desk (top left).
