THE KING’S BUSINESS

fire and devouring their adversaries. The whole scene is intensely Jewish,' and the church is seen no more until she follows her Bridegroom from heaven. When He actually appears, “ every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced H im ; and all kindreds o f the earth shall wail because o f Him” (Rev. 1:7). His appearing shall be as the lightning’s flash (Luke 17 :24) ; it shall take place amid the darkening o f the Sun, the blinding o f the moon, the falling o f the stars, “immediately after the tribulation,” none o f which sig nals are mentioned in connection with His coming for the saints; “and then shall appear ,the sign o f the Son o f man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes o f the .earth mourn, and they shall see the Son o f man coming in the clouds o f heaven, with power and great glory” (Matt. 24:29, 30). The real church o f regenerated ones has at that time been caught away, and “wheii Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory” (Col. 3:4). Mrs. W .'J. Grant, Canfield, Ont.: “ I feel very grateful for the'inspiration and help I receive from T he K ing ’ s B usiness , and feel that I cannot pay with money, what it is really worth to me. I pray each night and morning for the success o f your work, and that all connected with it may be abun dantly blessed with richer blessings than silver or gold can buy.” Ira Long, Gospel Singer, Harrisonburg, V a .: “I do not see how I could do with out the magazine in these feverish times. How it steadies our faith! How it inspires to nobler and better work for our King! May the Lord richly bless you in the great work you are doing.” Rev. S. K. De Binder, Barnesville, P a.: “ It is in my opinion the most Scriptural o f all the periodical^ T k n ow 'of.” W. F. Fisher, Home Mission Board of Southern Baptist Convention: “The mag azine is so juicy and helpful that I must have it. My evangelistic engagements keep me away from home a great deal, and I get behind, but it does me great good to study it. It is a joy to commend it.”

It is 'o f immense practical moment to understand the difference between the com ing o f the Lord fo r and with His saints. If a Christian really and practically believes that he may hear the quickening and trans forming shout o f his Lord today or. tomor row, it is bound to affect his character and conduct. But if he believe? that the Saviour cannot return during his life-time, all the po\frer derived from “that blessed hope” is gone. God has been pleased to reveal that there is no event which must necessarily intervene before the coming; there are many events which are plainly predicted, before the appearing. But if we are for bidden to look for Him until Israel shall be restored, and the awful tribulation under anti-christ shall be commenced and ended, no one can estimate the disastrous effect upon the daily life o f the believer. It will be impossible to wait and watch for Him now, and. the soul will be thrown back upon the vague, uncertain and unscriptural hope that is left to those who do not expect Him till the close o f the millennium. ■ H. D. Warren, Pennfield, N. B .: “I wish 'for T he K ing ’ s B usiness much prosperity, in every way, for the Master’s' sake and the coming o f the kingdom o f God, for T believe it to be One o f the choicest and hi st. of. its kind, and I greatly enjoy read ing its great truths. They are very helpful and sound and Scriptural, exceedingly spir itual, .and mighty for the work o f God among our brethren- and all churches.” j O. M. Kraybill, Middletown, P a.: It affords me pleasure to renew my subscrip tion to your helpful magazine, I surely appreciate the splendid stand you take for the truth in j these trying times. May the Lord continue to make you a channel of blessing to many. lives.” E. F. Yoder, Auburn Pa.: “ I thoroughly like T he K ing ’ s ; B usiness . I like it because it is dispensational, scriptural, and prefnillenhial.” L. L. Soule, Windsor, N. Y .:■ . “ Thank God for T he K ing ’ s B usiness and the straight and solid stand which it takes for Bible truths. Am more and more pleased with -it and helped by it.”
