(3) Paul had a good weather-eye whether. on the voyage to Italy or to glory. (4) There will be no daydawn nor shelter­ ing shore for the shipwrecked soul. (5) Contrast the selfishness o f the sailors and soldiers with the self-denying service o f Paul. ( 6 ) What God promises He performs through His providence and power. (7) Safety for the sinner lies in the sur­ render o f the will, and obedience to the W ord o f God. ( 8 ) Satan, the viper, shall be cast off by the hand o f Christ into the Lake o f fire. (9) Gathering sticks may constitute a great service if it ministers to the cheer and comfort o f heavy hearts. (10) The true minister is like his Master, he helps and heals all manner o f maladies.
