The events in the second part của Joker: Joker: Folie À Deux take place two years after Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) caused a series of shocking massacres in Gotham City by killing five people. At this point, he is being held at Arkham Asylum. During a music therapy session, he falls in love with patient Lee Quinzel/Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga), who transforms Arthur Fleck from a cold-blooded killer into a person capable of love.

Joker: Folie à Deux is once again directed by Todd Phillips, who also co-produces and co-writes the script alongside Scott Silver. This is the sequel to the box-office hit Joker (2019), with Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as Joker and Lady Gaga taking on the role of Harley Quinn. Zazie Beetz also returns to reprise her character from the previous film. The performances of Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga are standout highlights, praised for their emotional depth and nuanced transformations.
