Have you ever felt discouraged and depressed? A woman, going through such difficulties, decided she would face her pastor with the situation. The anxieties had be come almost overwhelming. She wondered if he might suggest some practical help. He very kindly pointed out that discouragement is one of Satan's most effective tools. It's something he constantly seeks to wield in the life of a believer. Temptation to be "down" in spir its is something we all have faced. The wise minister of the Gospel explained further that the devil ev idently enjoys bringing our spir itual defeat as he frequently uses the instrument of discouragement and discontentment for his benefit.
