It has been a privilege to serve our community for the past seven years and bring healing to those who need it most. I think I speak for everyone at Advanced Practice PT when I say that we love knowing we’re making a difference in people’s lives and helping them along on their journey to recovery. We all have problems — physically, mentally, spiritually — but if we take the time to better ourselves a little bit every day, even if it’s just one step in the right direction, we’ll walk away from our troubles with a newfound appreciation for what we do have. In many ways, that’s what we try to do here at Advanced Practice PT. We find new ways of healing every day. In my 28 years of practicing physical therapy, a lot has changed. Thankfully, the thrill of my position never gets old. I wish everybody could experience what I do at least once. No matter how difficult the situation, every day I give it my all. It’s hard to picture myself doing anything else when I see the excitement on a patient’s face.

From high school on, I knew this was what I wanted to do — even if it looked a lot different back then than it does today. A high school career interest questionnaire suggested that science and health care best suited my interests. I knew that I didn’t want to be a physician or a nurse, so physical therapy — though I didn’t know too much about what physical therapists actually did — sounded like a great alternative. I believed PT was more relationship-driven than being a doctor, so I jumped in headfirst and never looked back. The story isn’t much different for my two co-founders here at Advanced Practice PT. We all got drawn in for one reason or another and couldn’t shake the bug. That’s why, after essentially being each other’s competition for several years, we decided to join forces and start practicing under the same roof in August 2011. Together, we’re able to deliver a more specialized service than before. As three strong- minded women, we’re dedicated to delivering the best possible care to our community, and I’m happy to call my co-founders friends.

Our success can be seen in the countless smiles of the satisfied clients we’ve helped over the years, and we have no plans of stopping anytime soon. We pride ourselves on making our office feel more like a home and promoting it as a safe place to be yourself. Finding a balance between home, work, and the rest of life can be tricky, but I welcome the challenge every day and always walk away proud of what I do. If you or anyone you know has been injured or needs help with any of their physical limitations, Advanced Practice PT can help. We’ve recently added a high-tech and industry- leading LightForce Deep Tissue Laser to our arsenal and you’d be surprised at just how much it can treat. Give us a call to see if laser treatment is right for you.
