A Guide to Empathy at Work In this course, participants will explore the meaning of empathy and ways to communicate empathically. Through engaging activities and real-world examples, participants learn how empathy can enhance their workplace relationships and improve team dynamics. Participants will come away with practical tools to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment, ultimately contributing to a more compassionate and successful organization.
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Adverse Childhood Experiences or ACEs are traumatic events that occur in childhood that can lead to chronic health problems and/or substance use later in life. This training takes a dive into the biology of stress, the amazing brain, protective factors that support and mitigate the effects of ACEs, and strengthening and support for parents who experienced ACEs.
Boundaries and Burnout
This training explores the significance of establishing boundaries in both personal and professional settings. Participants will discover how to effectively set boundaries, understand the repercussions of violating them, and recognize the implications of burnout and compassion fatigue, especially for those working in the helping professions.
Mental Health This training explores several subtopics under the broader topic of mental health, including promotion of positive mental health, behavioral signs of mental health issues, depression, perinatal mood disorders, coping with loss, strategies for working with families with mental health issues, mental health emergencies and referral resources for mental health.
