3 DEGRADATION
Physical effects on a glove; Change in a glove material’s physical properties (eg. thickness, weight, strength) as the result of chemical exposure. Testing is based on the finger portion of the glove, in which, the middle finger of the glove is cut up to 50mm, weighed accurately and then placed on a test tube with exposed coating area. Immerse this tube into the test chemical for 30 minutes. After this time, take out the samples from the test tube and re-weigh after complete drying in oven. Result is recorded as a percent change in weight, coating condition before and after drying and usability.
