broe-Hammer’s broker-trainee program four years ago, was named a vice president three years later and has now earned the firm’s top honor for 2017: Salesperson of the Year. “Words like ‘no’ and ‘can’t’ simply are not part of Adam’s vocabulary. While some people get deflated at hearing these terms, he goes full throttle to achieve the ‘yes’ and the ‘can,’ and the results speak for them- selves,” said Ken Uranowitz , president. “Adam’s unwav- ering entrepreneurial spirit and intuitive analytical and problem-solving skills have led

to his exponential year-over- year sales increases throughout Central and South Jersey and beyond. These aren’t just per- sonal and firm bests, they are investment brokerage industry ‘bests’ as well.” Named in memory of the firm’s late founders, Mel Ge- broe and Morris Hammer , the annual peer-selected Sales- person of the Year award recog- nizes one brokerage profession- al for exceptional, consistent sales performance. Since joining the firm, Zwei- bel has completed more than 40 deals for a combined total

of over 5,057 multi-family units sold for $556.709M. In 2016, he was named to Gebroe-Ham- mer’s executive management team as a vice president, after just three years in the business. Prior to Gebroe-Hammer, the University of Michigan gradu- ate served as president of Alpha Technology Group, a company he successfully built, restruc- tured and eventually sold to Strategic Micro Systems. As the result of his unyielding drive, Zweibel has been instru- mental in dramatically expand- ing Gebroe-Hammer’s pres- ence and transaction volume

throughout Central and South Jersey, where he has emerged as the multi-family broker of choice. He also represents cli- ent interests throughout the Greater New Jersey metro and beyond. Zweibel was named Gebroe- Hammer’s newest honoree for tripling his 2017 sales bench- marks over 2016 and closing several prominent eight-digit sales. These included Water- side Villas in Monroe Town- ship ($19.2M/99 units); Car- riage Club Apartments in Mt. Arlington ($24M/105 units); Orchard Drive Apartments in Whitehall, PA ($18.5M/264 units); Olympic Gardens in Brick ($10M/94 units); Crest Ridge Apartments in West Orange ($45M/178 units); and an off-campus college housing complex in Central New Jersey ($19.7M/63 units). In addition to representing private individual owners, who dominate the New Jer- sey multi-family landscape, Zweibel’s diverse client base includes REITs, private equity firms and institutional invest- ment entities. Since 1975, Gebroe-Ham- mer’s brokerage activities have concentrated on subur- ban and urban high-rise and garden-apartment proper- ties. While initially focusing on New Jersey, the firm has evolved during the past 43 years to also dominate the northeastern Pennsylvania and New York State submar- kets as well as represent client interests nationally. Gebroe- Hammer also markets mixed- use and free-standing office and retail properties. Widely recognized for its consistent sales performance, the firm is a 14-time CoStar Power Broker. n Cr immins named treasurer of SIORNJ SHORT HILLS, NJ — The Blau & Berg Com- pany announced that Jason Crimmins has been named Treasurer of the New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Real- tors (SIOR ).
