“There is a true scarcity of ground floor opportunities of that size that could accom- modate the square footage requirements for The Learn- ing Experience,” said Josh Weiss , Retail & Investment Sales Specialist at MSC Retail. Weiss represented both the tenant and the Salt Lake City based landlord, Property Reserve, Inc. “By securing The Learning Ex- perience, the landlord was able to achieve its goal of a national creditworthy tenant that reflected the quality and character of their high-rise
development,” added Weiss. In a second transaction, MSC Retail announced a lease with Rocket Fizz at 418 South Street, Philadel- phia. Rocket Fizz, a sweets shop with nostalgic toys and gifts, will occupy 1,500 s/f on one of South Street’s busiest blocks. Rocket Fizz South St. will be the second Philadelphia location for the candy store franchise, with one location currently operating in Old City. Founded in 2009, the franchise offers 500+ glass- bottled sodas, thousands of colorful candies, retro memo- rabilia and gag gifts. Rocket Fizz carries novelty soda flavors, including 150 unique flavors such as “Bacon Soda” and “Ranch Flavored Soda” under its own brand. “Rocket Fizz will fit well on the 400 block of South St., catering to diverse foot traffic including tourists and locals alike,” said William Moscowitch of MSC Retail. Moscowitch represented the landlord, Robinson Family Associates, during the trans- action.
