The popular Tasmanian Wine Festival returns to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens this summer, offering wine lovers a chance to sip some of the state’s best wines in an amazing setting. After multiple sold out sessions in previous years, the sixth annual event will run on February 8 and 9 next year. Returning favourites include over 35 Tasmanian vineyards and winemakers, a specially curated food selection from some of the state’s finest producers and a great line-up of entertainment. “The summer festival has been growing year on year and we’re thrilled to be bringing the biggest event to date this February,” said Tasmanian Wine Festival’s Luke Schlenner. “Not only does the festival showcase Tasmania’s world-class wine makers, wine lovers get to pair our great Tassie wines with a curated food selection and live entertainment in the stunning backdrop of the Botanical Gardens.”

Headlining Tas Wine Fest is the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, who are performing at all three event sessions. The 22 piece contains some of Australia’s finest musicians and performers. Helmed by the energetic and charismatic Nicky Bomba (John Butler Trio, Bustamento), they’re more than just a band, they are a fun-loving experience to behold.
