South

Since coming on board with the program in September this year, Anita has hit the road running to get out and about with industry. Our GCE team have been working with hundreds of businesses across Hobart and all the regional pockets of Southern Tasmania in the last quarter of this year. Anita has become a regular in the Derwent Valley, Huon Valley, Eastern Shore and Northern suburbs of Hobart, working with all our fantastic hospitality businesses; no matter the size, style or location – the program helps to make sure all businesses are always working towards best practice. Anita knows from her experience in the industry, when you are running a business it’s impossible to keep up to date with all the opportunities and support that is available. Incredibly, so far she’s found 100 per cent of businesses who join us in a Business Health Check as part of the program have agreed its valuable, worthwhile and necessary. If you haven’t recently seen us, make contact so we can prioritise seeing you in the New Year.

North and North East

It’s been a remarkable year for Tasmania’s tourism and hospitality sectors. Contacts have not only provided crucial support, but they’ve also fostered lasting friendships, strengthening the bonds within our industry. The Business Health Checks have proven to be an invaluable tool, offering a deeper understanding of how operators are truly feeling and what challenges they face. Upskilling initiatives, particularly the Venue Awareness sessions, have been widely appreciated, allowing staff to gain a clearer understanding of their roles and responsibilities, the service they provide and a deeper understanding of the business, and boosting overall confidence in their work.

Looking ahead, Daz is excited to continue offering
