Utah Utah’s all -offender ignition interlock went into effect in July 2009. From 2006 to 2020 in Utah, interlocks stopped 26,472 attempts to drive drunk with a breath alcohol concentration of .08 or greater, including 3,417 attempts to drive drunk in 2020.
