TRASH/BULK/E-WASTE COLLECTION

(ALL TRASH/RECYCLING/BULK MUST BE CURBSIDE NO LATER THAN 6:00am ON YOUR TRASH DAY) Please place all waste in green Township provided container. ALL CANS must be 4’ to 5’ apart. Do Not Place CANS too close to any other items, vehicles, fences, or mailboxes. All trash must be placed in closed plastic bags within in the green Township container; DO NOT put anything in trash can other than house hold trash. Keep lids closed whenever possible. DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: tires, construction materials, animal waste, concrete, lumber, wooden pallets, batteries, motor oil or other fluids, vegetative waste, dirt, brush, medical bio-hazardous waste, any recyclable materials in green trash container. Absolutely NO flammable materials (alcohol, ammonia, fuels, etc.) are to be included with your household trash. The Gloucester County Improvement Authority has a hazardous waste drop off during each year. The dates and locations will be posted throughout the Township – Channel 9 or call public works at 694-3155 for current dates and information. SEE BELOW BULK TRASH PICK UP; Will now be picked up once a month on your trash day, (SEE CALENDAR FOR DATES OR CALL PUBLIC WORKS). No more than 3 large items, OR up to 8 bags of trash. You DO NOT have to call for bulk trash pickup. METAL & E-WASTE (Televisions, Computer Equipment, Electronics) C an be picked up once a month on that Friday the same week as BULK. “MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE PICK UP” Or ALL can be taken to our RECYCLING/COMPOST CENTER see below for details.

IMPORTANT: HOUSE CLEAN OUTS, TIRES, LARGE TRUCK/TRAILER LOADS, CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL, DECKING, FENCING all MUST betaken to;

GLOUCESTER COUNTY LANDFILL , 493 Monroeville Rd., S. Harrison, NJ 856-478-6045 “These items CANNOT be brought to Recycling/Compost Center and will not be picked up for Bulk”

Our sanitation ordinance has been amended in 2009. There are now fines for littering, dumping of trash and burning trash. If you observe anyone engaging in these illegal activities call the Franklin Township Police Department @ 856- 694-1414.
