Yes, you are good enough! The greatest lie from the enemy has always been this: You are not good enough. We know better, yet the bad stuff always seems easier to believe. That’s what makes the lie so powerful in the first place — we believe there is some truth to it from our past experiences. For example, many women can relate with Cindy’s story. She is happily married and has two kids, a nice house, and a dog, and her husband is a successful entrepreneur. Like many of us, Cindy came from a divorced home, which is the most fertile soil for the you’re-not-good-enough lie to grow and develop. Cindy also lives in a busy American city, so over the past 30 years, she has been exposed to millions of self- image-destroying messages from the beauty industry. TV commercials, magazine articles, billboards, and bus stop ads all say the same thing: You are not good enough! You are too fat, too short, too tall, too pale, too dark, too plain, too whatever, but no matter what, it’s not good enough, which is why you have to buy this product. If you hear a lie over and over, pretty soon you start to believe it. Legendary singer-songwriter Tina Turner performed at a high level into her 70s while still managing to look 40! Want to know her secret to ageless skin and hair? Simply staying hydrated. Tina drinks eight glasses of water a day. Tom Brady reveals in his new revolutionary fitness book “TB12” that he’s on the same bandwagon. He attributes his longevity in football to being properly hydrated. Tom’s advice is to drink half your body weight in ounces of water per day. So for the average female, it’s about eight glasses per day. Just doing these few simple things will boost your health and fitness levels 1,000 percent over the average American. Yet most people don’t do it. But I know you’re not most people! I know you understand that health is the real wealth. It doesn’t matter if you have all the money in world and you’re the creator of world-changing technology like Steve Jobs; you can’t buy your health back. It’s simply not for sale. Speaking of not for sale, our spiritual lives cannot be bought either. You may be lacking in this department, but did you ever think it’s because of your health choices? “We are spiritual beings in a physical form. To neglect our physical bodies and expect our spiritual life to be unaffected is insanity.” –Jay Scully Take action now and choose to invest in real wealth: your health. Start drinking eight glasses of water a day, keep eating your apple a day (remember last issue’s article), and say YES to foods that strengthen your heart, mind, and soul. Cindy also had a long courtship with her husband; he opted for the five-year-plus plan to marriage. By

HEALTH IS THE REAL WEALTH

Gary Player, one of golf’s all-time greatest legends, still plays the game he loves. Gary is 82 years old and is known all over the world for his health and stamina. How many 82-year-olds do you know who can play 18 rounds of golf without using a cart? Gary has often been asked what his key to longevity is, and his answer is very simple, “No bacon, no milk, no white bread, and very little ice cream.” Pretty simple, isn’t it? There are certain foods that simply are not worth eating.
