How many years have you been in real estate? Why did you choose real estate? I have been in Real Estate for 8 years. I chose Real Estate since I was young. It was something that really called my attention, and I love working with people to help them reach that goal of becoming homeowners. This is my career, not a side hustle or a get-rich-quick type of job. It is something that I truly enjoy and love doing! Share with us why is TCAR important to you? TCAR is important to have around. They are a local Association that actually cares about its members. (Realtors). You can call them anytime when you need help! They are always trying to find ways to provide classes, seminars, and special events to help us improve in our industry. I enjoy working with the staff at TCAR they are truly amazing at what they ALL do. Share with us some of the most useful benefits of being part of TCAR? They are available (during normal business hours) to assist you with your Real Estate needs. I have seen huge improvements in their overall communication. They are trying to engage more with the members to make everyone aware that TCAR is here to assist! TCAR has our backs! I think members should be more involved with TCAR to better understand what they have to offer. If you are looking to up your skills, be more involved in the industry, and want to take Real Estate to another level, you should contact TCAR and learn more about them! Why do you think members should get involved with TCAR? Who have been your biggest mentors over the years that have shaped you into the Realtor® you are today? I have had a lot of wonderful mentors throughout the years. When I first moved to the Tri-Cities back in 2016, I came across Amy Schneider and she was an
amazing mentor for me. She introduced me to Buffini & Company. Then I got in touch with a coach with Buffini & Company, which has taken my business to another level. I thank Amy for being there for me! Now Amy has a business partner, Melanie Wilson; I have to give her credit as well. Melanie has been a great mentor to me throughout the years. When I first met her, I remember her saying if I wanted to be successful in this industry, "Make sure you know your S%^&*". Make sure you know your contracts, and make sure you stay on top of your business. You are protecting your client, and you need to understand what you are doing! I am grateful for Amy and Melanie! I have learned so much from them. When I was in Los Angeles, I had my first broker, Herb Diaz who taught me to ALWAYS try to find a solution for your clients. You don’t let a deal die just because it’s a done deal. You have to think, create a plan, and go for it! So YES, I have learned many things throughout these years! That is why I always say "Let’s Make it Happen". I can share many great and some bad experiences, but you can call me anytime and we can chat…. lol… What is your advice to new realtors coming into real estate? New Realtors are coming into the industry, find yourself the right mentor to help you grow your business. Do not come into this business with the mindset that it’s going to be easy or that it’s a get- rich-quick deal… It’s NOT! This is an industry where you start from the bottom and work your way up. (The right way). If you love serving, you will do amazing! That is what we are here for—to serve our community! When we have that mindset and you are determined, IT WILL HAPPEN! I thank God for this opportunity to be in this industry. You learn a lot as you go! Years go by, and you still continue to learn. YOU GOT THIS! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
