One main concern associated with personal conveyance is that truckers have the potential to abuse it. Some drivers may argue something was for personal use to prevent HOS violations. Therefore, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires carriers to establish policies and proper use of personal conveyance.
