Dear STE Community, Several years ago, the Boeing Corporation ran an ad campaign centered on the theme, “We know why we are here.” This theme resonated with me because it emphasized several characteristics I have always found appealing: excellence, confidence, and self-awareness. As a school, these same traits are integral to the STE culture. Our mission, core values, Portrait of a Graduate, and Episcopal identity all reflect an institution that not only knows why we are here but also has a firm grasp on where we are going. New leadership and a strategic plan will help shape a future filled with possibilities and opportunities.
What we have achieved—and all the possibilities before us—are a direct result of your generosity and volunteer involvement in the life of STE. The impact of your unwavering support can be found in every aspect of what we have accomplished in 2024–2025. While this Annual Report summarizes our achievements, it also serves as a tribute to the many contributions that have shaped the unique culture that has been a hallmark of STE for seventy years. Thanks to the Saint Thomas’ Fund, The Tartan Society, and our two major fundraising events (Fall Fair and Gala), we have raised significant funds that are transforming our school in numerous ways. I am especially pleased to report that we exceeded our Saint Thomas’ Fund goal. As a result, your contributions have allowed us to enhance our programs, provide financial support for those in need, improve facilities, offer professional development opportunities for our dedicated faculty and staff, and much more—all of which directly benefit every STE student. Philanthropy extends beyond financial contributions; it fosters a culture of giving back to move us forward. Your time and talent are continually on display. Whether volunteering for the Fall Fair, participating in the extensive work required for a successful Gala, or serving as a grade-level coordinator, you have made an enormous difference. All of this helps create an environment where students feel supported, encouraged, engaged, and inspired to become the best versions of themselves. The future is indeed bright, and STE remains committed to its mission of forming honorable men and women through a classical education grounded in a Christ-centered worldview. Your continued support is crucial as we strive to be our best by doing our best—shining examples of educational excellence. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to this special place. Like the Boeing campaign from the past, because of you, we know why we are here. With gratitude and appreciation,
William R. Mott, Ph.D. Interim Head of School
