Dear Member, Welcome to ANCC’s special edition of its monthly e-newsletter!
We have learned a great deal about social distancing, wearing masks, and the new normal that seems to change every day. The team has put together this special edition e-newsletter which gathers several offerings to the membership in one place. For the month of May, the Club continues to offer special food menus and wine selections for you to simply order online and pick up curbside at both Arlington and Fairfax. The ANCC Market Place in Arlington has been very popular since it first “opened” and we are continuously sourcing new food and pantry selections, as well as preparing ready-to-bake items made by our kitchen. At Fairfax, curbside pick up menus featuring Chesapeake crab cakes and short ribs, among other popular menu selections, are offered Thursday to Saturday. To stay fit and healthy while staying in and keeping to social distancing guidelines, you can workout by streaming online fitness classes and on the ANCC Fitness Channel on YouTube. Golfers can follow along with instructional videos from the pros on exercises at home to strengthen your core and improve performance on the course. Tennis players can practice your footwork drills demonstrated in a video by the pros and participate the “ANCC Skills Challenge Competition.” We will be hosting our first virtual “Author’s Series” via Zoom with author Andrew Och. There are also links in this e-newsletter for online cross word puzzles and sudoku games, as well as gardening tips and virtual book clubs. For the wine lovers, you can watch our virtual wine tasting videos and purchase the accompanying “Tasting Kit.” We are also offering “Art To-Go” collections based on age for our junior members for online order and curbside pickup.
