In one of his letters to Biola in 1938, he described the General's inter(':st in Christian matters. General Chang Gib Gung was also a close friend of Ernest Yin in Changsha and was greatly influenced by the integrity of that man. Page 29. He was invited by the Missionary Church in Hawaii to hold 1 week Bible Studies in several of their churches. He enjoyed this experience with them, and it was reciprocated. It seemed to help him reconcile his terrible experiences with the Japanese in China by sharing the scriptures with these lovely Japanese Christians.
