Best Practices • Utilize videos and/or photo carousels – audiences are drawn more and more to visuals rather than longer text-only posts
• Post plenty of photographs: these establish authenticity, and are the best way to showcase your properties
• Use hashtags to tie your content to your area (#CityState), your niche (#RealEstate, #LuxuryRealEstate), or your personal content (#LocalRealtor, #MidwestRealtor, #CaliforniaRealtor) • Choose relevant hashtags – do not choose “Trending” hashtags or you’ll be flagged as fraudulent
• Cheat the algorithm! If you’re making videos, edit through Meta’s “Edits” App and post directly to Facebook & Instagram – Meta’s algorithm will prioritize your content.
• 80/20 Rule – 80% about you, personal pictures, engagement in your community and 20% about your business etc. • No one wants to be “sold” to. They want someone they can relate to.
If directing audiences to your website, include the link and not a QR Code on social media. QR Codes exist for print items only!
