Ivan was a lifelong learner who obtained an Accounting Certificate from Mountain View College in 2017 and was admitted to Venture University’s VC/PE Investor Accelerator Program in 2020. Professionally, Tatum worked in finance for American Eagle Airlines, TIAA- CREF, and First Command Financial Services. He earned his Series 7 – Gen- eral Securities Representative license, Series 66 - Uniform Combined State Law license, and a Certified Python Programmer license. He served as a finance committee member at North Texas Area Community Health Centers (N.T.A.C.H.C.) for over a year. As a di- rect result of his level of service and his desire to help provide quality health care to Black and Brown communities in Tar- rant County, N.T.A.C.H.C. voted him as a board member days before passing. From 2012 to 2013, he served in a Methodism Breadbasket volunteer capacity - a food pantry founded by his father - as a board member and financial analyst. His altruism was not limited solely to volunteerism. Tatum lived his life in such a way that he freely gave of himself, his time, and his knowledge to support and enlighten others. In January 2020, Tatum became a chief financial officer at Hannibus, a Texas black-owned agricultural consultancy. He and his business partner, Ronald C, Jordan, Jr. established an investment management and business consultation firm named Synetos Equity Partners, L.L.C. to establish an industry-leading financial tech company. Brother Ivan K. Tatum was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother; sister Jonetta Renée (Bennie) Johnson; and brother John W. (Ursula) Tatum. He shall always be remembered by Stacy M. Rosenthal; nieces, Marcia Nickerson, Ashley (Benny) Lott, Tiffany Robinson; one nephew, Ivan L. Tatum; three great-nephews, one great-niece, and a host of relatives and friends.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. A Life Member of the Fraternity, he was a longtime member of the St. Louis (MO) Alumni Chapter, where he was a past polemarch among his many offices held. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with E.S. Baker Consistory and Past—Potentate with the Shriners of Hira Temple #131. Sumlin was an active member of Pro- gressive Baptist Church. Brother John E. Sumlin, II is survived by wife and silhouette of 23 years, An- gela "Angie" Shaw-Sumlin; two daugh- ters, Johnalynn and Anna-Marie; mother Rosie Sumlin of Clarksdale, MS; sister, Kiesha Sumlin; grandmother Blanche Ray and a host of close relatives, friends, and colleagues.

(Alpha Xi 1969), a Life Member of the Fraternity, en- tered the Chapter Invisible on August 18, 2020, at the age of 70. Larry L. Thomas was born

in Jacksonville, FL, to parents Tommy and Fannie Margarit Thomas on Febru- ary 9, 1950, the second of five sons. Thomas graduated from William M. Raines High School then attended Flori- da A&M University (FAMU) in Tallahas- see, FL, where he joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. As a member of the Alpha Xi Chapter, Thomas held numerous chapter offices, including leading the Alpha Xi as polemarch. Thomas earned a B.S. degree in computer science from FAMU in 1972. Thomas spent his professional career in computing, contributing to public and private organizations, including Hewlett- Packard, NASA, and IBM. He ulti- mately found his passion, spending over thirty years at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, retiring as Director of Information Security in 2017. Thomas was a member of the Kingdom of God Church in the Palm Beach County community over the decades. He embodied the gift of 'sharing God's love and laughter with others as he went about his day. He was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Boynton Beach, Florida, for over ten years. Thomas was committed to helping others and routinely gave to his favorite charities and organizations. Some of his favorites were the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund to support endocrinology care for children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and his beloved Alma Mater, Florida A & M University. Thomas was a member of the Delray Beach (FL) Alumni Chapter serving as polemarch and also as on campus faculty

Ivan K. Tatum (Xi Delta 1992) entered the Chap- ter Invisible on January 29, 2021, at 48. Ivan Keith Tatum was born on November 19, 1972, in Dallas,

TX, the youngest child of Reverend John W. Tatum, Sr. and Marian (née Wash- ington) Tatum. He attended Dallas’s Skyline Career Development Center, where he was a National Honor Society member, a championship weightlifter, and the varsity football team. After graduating from Skyline High School in 1991 with honors, Tatum earned a full scholarship to attend Princeton Uni- versity. While in college, he was a New Visions tutor; and an active member of several organizations, including Ivy Club, Forbes College, Imhotep Minority Pre-Med Society, and the N.A.A.C.P. He graduated in 1995 from Princeton University with a B.A. degree in psy- chology/neuroscience. He later earned an M.B.A. in finance and strategy from the Cox School of Business at South-
